Questions before you book
Do I need a fishing or hunting licence, and can you help me get one?
Yes, a provincial licence is required for both. We arrange provincial licences before arrival, so all you bring is photo ID and your booking details.
What gear is included and what should I bring?
All rentals include helmets, PFDs and safety briefing. Bring layered waterproofs, sturdy boots, a warm hat and a water bottle. We supply the rest.
What happens if the weather turns?
Coastal weather changes fast. If conditions are unsafe, we reschedule your trip at no charge, and your guide will call you the evening before.
Are there age or licence limits for the Defender tours?
Drivers must be 19 or older with a valid licence. Passengers must be 6 or older and seated with a belt on.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before your start time. Inside that window we can move your booking to another day when space allows.
How fit do I need to be for a coastal hike?
Our hikes run at an easy-to-moderate pace on uneven ground. If you can walk a few hours with breaks, you will be fine.
When are you open and how far ahead should I book?
Open daily 7am to 7pm, May through November. Book a week ahead in summer, since weekends fill early.
